[b]Please give a short biography of the character:[/b] Gerhard H. Schwindler-Eckermann was born on the 18th of Febuary 1878 in the Schwindler Estate in Königsberg. He is one of the second oldest sons of his father Mr. Schwindler-Eckermann (Now Deceased). Due to his family's extensive military history Gerhard was destined to join the armed forces from an early age. Due to his father's wealth as a high ranking army general, Gerhard was able to study abroad in the Tokyo officer's school as soon as he turned 18 and upon finishing officer school was quickly pressed into military service as a Leutnant in the 124th Würtemburg Infantry Regiment and would serve for several years until shortly before the Great War when he attended combat pilot school in preparation for transfer to the German Airforce as Gerhard was absolutely obsessed with aviation and flying and wanted to fufill his longtime dream of flying aircraft while maintaining his military career (as was family tradition). He would go on to serve as a Oberleutnant and later Hauptmann during the First World War earning a Iron Cross 2nd Class for his bravery in combat. After WWI Gerhard made a reluctant career change into politics (As most of his family was forced to do due to the restrictions placed upon the German Military by the victorious allies) and became German Ambassador to the United States in 1928 and joined the VPK - Monarchist Caucus shortly after as his family still held strongly to the monarchist ideals they had fought for, for so many years. UPDATE:Gerhard now currently out of work due to getting fired by a commie would slowly move out of politics trying to join the Monarchist Paramilitary or the regular military to move into more familiar ground career wise. [b]Does this character have any medals/awards? If so, what are they and how did he get them?  (Please note that more medals will make your application harder to be accepted)[/b] Iron Cross 2nd Class  Awarded for facing 2 hostile aircraft to buy a damaged friendly aircraft time to escape in 1916.
